Fair Practice Code (FPC) and remuneration policy
Pynarello uses the five core values of the FPC as a framework for its activities and, where possible, has incorporated these values into its policies. Specifically regarding fair pay, Pynarello applies the following remuneration policy:
For musicians, Pynarello follows fees in line with the NORMA guidelines (an elaboration of fair pay). In addition, Pynarello is exploring whether to join the Collective Labour Agreement for Music Ensembles (CAO Muziekensembles) in the near future. Current fees are benchmarked against this CAO.
The working group, in line with its democratic foundation, applies a uniform hourly rate. This rate roughly corresponds to the middle step of the middle scale of the CAO Muziekensembles and the CAO Theatre and Dance, increased with a 50% freelancer surcharge.
Board members carry out their duties on an unpaid basis.
Governance Code Cultuur (GCC)
Pynarello applies the principles of the GCC as fully as possible and reports on this in its annual report. During board meetings, potential conflicts of interest (if applicable) are discussed. Each year, the board and the working group evaluate the application of the GCC within the organization to identify areas for improvement. Where Pynarello does not fully comply with recommendations or deviates from principles, this is explained in the annual report.
Code Diversity and Inclusion (CDI)
Creating a safe and inclusive working environment is an essential foundation for a diverse Pynarello. In recent years, Pynarello has organized “inspiration sessions” on the themes of diversity and inclusion, sustainability, and accessibility, during which an expert on each topic engaged in dialogue with the Pynarelli. At each session, at least one wish was formulated and translated into a concrete action. In the coming years, with the help of the CDI’s tools and guidelines, Pynarello will continue to implement actions to further embed diversity and inclusion within the organization.
